Tripoli, Batroun & Nabu Museum
The City of Three Kings!
The City of Three Kings!
Visit the multi-faceted metropolis of Tripoli and the Crusader Citadel of St. Gilles – a fort housing two museums. You will then take a stroll through the narrow alleys of architectural greatness in the Old Souk, where your senses will be spoiled with the aroma of freshly-made soap and olive oil products. The city also boasts many churches and mosques dating back to the Mamluk and Ottoman eras.
On the way back, visit the Nabu Museum in El-Heri, Ras Al Shaqa’. Opened in 2018, this modern museum was built in just eight months by businessman Jawad Adra to house his collection of about 2,000 items, featuring both contemporary artworks and rare antiquities.
The journey continues to the charming coastal town of Batroun, one of Lebanon’s oldest Phoenician cities. Here, you’ll discover the ancient Phoenician sea wall, wander through the historic old town with its narrow stone-paved streets and traditional houses, and visit Saint Stephen’s Cathedral overlooking the Mediterranean. End your tour with a stroll along the picturesque harbor and a taste of Batroun’s famous fresh lemonade.
